Maybe you know this feeling

You’ve built a pretty good life. Screw that—I think you’ve actually built a REALLY good life!

You’ve accomplished some things, learned some things, messed up a few things, and worked on yourself. You’ve finished enough personal growth books and programs to qualify for some sort of honorary degree (I’m still waiting for mine).

And yet there are still those moments when you wonder why you don’t feel as good about it all as you probably should by now.

So naturally, you assume there must be something else to work on.

Maybe another old wound to heal, a habit to change, or yet one more freakin’ limiting belief? How is that even possible?! Maybe you just need to meditate more. Or finally start doing all the things you already know you’re supposed to be doing.

I know that territory pretty well. If I did all the things I “should,” my morning Hour of Power would take 12 hours to complete!

So lately I’ve become much more interested in a different question:

What if we’re working so hard on ourselves because we started with the assumption that something is wrong?

That’s what I want to get curious about together for a few hours.

So what will we actually do?

First, I promise I'm not going to talk at you for three hours. I don't think either of us could stand it.

This is an lab experiment. There will only be eight of us, and we're going to talk, play, notice what comes up, try a few experiences and probably share a questionable amount of laughter!

I have some ideas about where we're going, of course. I'm not just showing up with a Zoom link and hoping something interesting happens - even though it always does!

I'm asking for some trust because I also don't want to tell you too much. Part of what I'm curious about is what you notice when we explore some of this together—before I give you my theories about it.

You don't need to prepare anything. You don't need to arrive with a problem for us to fix. And we're not going to spend three hours digging through everybody's childhood.

Just show up willing to participate, be curious, and see what happens.

Coffee is optional. Curiosity isn't.

You’ve done enough personal growth work to know that you’re never actually done with personal growth work. (Apparently that’s how they get you.)

Your life looks pretty damn good on paper, and mostly in real life too. Still, somehow that hasn’t completely stopped the voice that says you should be doing better.

You’re a little tired of constantly looking for the next thing to fix, heal, improve, release, manifest, forgive, optimize or get over. You’re open to the possibility that maybe there’s another way to grow that doesn’t begin with finding something wrong with yourself.

Or maybe you don’t know why you’re interested, but something about the question at the top of this page made you go “Huh. I wonder…”

That works for me too.
